Hello!
I’m Hana, a half Japanese-American storyboard artist from the Bay Area. As of May 2023, I am a graduate of the Animation/Illustration program at San Jose State University. I worked as Story Lead in the BFA thesis film: Biting Dust, as well as various commissioned art pieces.
I am a passionate advocate for character-driven stories! I love the way characters use emotion, facial expression, and body language to guide the story forward, and enjoy applying these aspects into my own storytelling. Stories that tug at the heartstrings and explore human emotions have a special place in my heart.
Aside from art, I love finding beauty in the mundane, appreciating the small things, and taking inspiration from the gems we come across every day.
